I started telling you about my peony bouquet last week, and this week I share more portraits of the individual flowers and tell you about the materials I used to make these.
I finally got to the peony farm this year! And was delighted to paint hills there!
I drew my bouquet of peonies as it aged - as colors and shapes changed and as my experiments got weirder.
In the USA thousands of protests are scheduled to happen on Saturday, June 14th. I made a screenshot of the current map to share with you. If you are in the USA go to nokings.org to find a protest nearest to you. Democracy works only as long as we participate in it. I will be there with my “Freedom of Speech” and “Support Our Allies” signs!
Thanks for reading, and thanks for looking!
Nina
p.s. If you enjoyed this post, please let me know. It will make my day!
I love them all, my favourites are the last black and white versions. The character of the dying, drying peonies is super clear in these ones.
I not only love your drawings, but also how you use so many different media. Very inspiring!
