Astronomical Summer is Here: Hello
What is summer to you?
The idea of astronomical summer got me thinking about all kinds of summers I’ve kept track of over the years, and this would be a really cool thing to draw through! But since I did not have a chance to do it yet. However, if you are willing to share, I am interested in what summer is for you, when it starts, and when it ends for you?
This week I am sharing:
A forced time limit on the first sketch has been my secret tool of late.
I have a list of things to draw in June, and one of them got checked: Egret Rookery!
Thank you for reading, and thanks for looking!
Nina

Summer is a quality of light to me! And when I lived in a different hemisphere for a few years, the light seemed seasonally inverted to me. I found it disorienting.
Summer for me always meant the end of school and days running wild with my siblings around the trailer park we summered at, splashing in a giant pool new friends every week. Now it means sitting under the shade of big beautiful trees in one of the many parks around where I live surrounded by a random selection of art supplies I take out with me.
